One Year In: Reflecting on Our First Year Together

by Project Team

October 10, 2025

It's hard to believe a full year has already passed since we kicked off LiTE Academy! Earlier this month, we gathered online (partners from Türkiye, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Norway) for our first Annual Progress Review and Planning Meeting, hosted by Dicle University.

It was a chance to pause, take stock, and plan what's next. And honestly? We left the meeting feeling pretty proud of how far we've come.

Our first year has been all about laying strong foundations. We've set up our governance and coordination structures, drafted our DIMs (Digital, Inclusive, and Multilingual) training modules, launched our online dissemination channels, and started work on our policy recommendations. Partner feedback on the modules is now rolling in, and we're busy making them more interactive and engaging based on what our colleagues have shared.

What's coming next: our Webinar Series!

The highlight of the meeting was locking in the dates for our six-part Professional Development Webinar Series, running from late April through the end of June. Each session explores a different angle of digital, inclusive, and multilingual language teaching, and everyone is welcome.

  • 28 April — Introducing the LiTE Academy Model

  • 11 May — Teaching Languages in the Digital Age

  • 26 May — Building Inclusive Language Classrooms

  • 2 June — Multilingual Pedagogies in Practice

  • 16 June — Rethinking Language Assessment

  • 29 June — Designing Language Learning Tasks

All sessions start at 7pm CET and run about an hour to 90 minutes. Registration details are coming soon, keep an eye on our website and social channels!
