What a journey it has been! With the final session behind us, the LiTE Academy Professional Development Webinar Series has officially come to a close. Over the past few months, we have had the pleasure of hosting educators, researchers, and students from across Europe and beyond, and the conversations have been every bit as rich and generous as we had hoped.
If you missed any of the sessions live, all of them are now available on our YouTube channel. Below is a quick look back at the webinars that closed out the series.
Webinar 3 - Building Inclusive Language Classrooms
26 May 2026 | Lisa Marie Brinkmann (Universität Hamburg) & Rocío Luque-González (Universidad de Córdoba)
This session turned our attention to inclusion, exploring how language classrooms can genuinely welcome and support diverse and multilingual learners. Lisa and Rocío shared concrete strategies for recognizing learner differences as strengths rather than challenges, and the Q&A brought thoughtful reflections from teachers working in a wide range of school contexts.

Webinar 4 - Multilingual Pedagogies in Practice
2 June 2026 | Sezen Bektaş Yüksel (Boğaziçi University) & Inmaculada Senra-Silva (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia)
Sezen and Inmaculada walked us through what it looks like to harness learners' full linguistic repertoires in everyday classroom practice. Rather than treating multilingualism as an add-on, the session showed how it can sit at the heart of language teaching. Participants shared examples from their own classrooms, and the exchange became a lovely reminder of just how multilingual our teaching community already is.

Webinar 5 - Doctoral Colloquium on DIMs Pedagogies
11 June 2026 | Cristina A. Huertas-Abril & Francisco Javier Palacios-Hidalgo (Universidad de Córdoba)
Our doctoral colloquium offered a dedicated space for early-career researchers to present and discuss their work on digital, inclusive, and multilingual pedagogies. Compulsory for PhD students of the Languages and Cultures Doctoral Programme, the session brought together emerging scholars whose research is already shaping the future of language teacher education.

Webinar 6 - Rethinking Language Assessment
16 June 2026 | Sílvia Melo-Pfeifer (Universität Hamburg), Serhat Başar (Dicle University) & Serap Önen (İstanbul University – Cerrahpaşa)
Assessment is one of those topics that touches every teacher, and this session tackled it head-on. Sílvia, Serhat, and Serap unpacked what assessment can and should look like in classrooms that are digital, inclusive, and multilingual all at once, and the discussion that followed showed just how much appetite there is among teachers for rethinking traditional approaches.

Webinar 7 - Designing Language Learning Tasks
29 June 2026 | Tuncer Can (İstanbul University – Cerrahpaşa), Carla Sá & Liudmila Shafirova (Universidade de Aveiro)
Our closing session brought everything together with a hands-on look at task design for DIMs classrooms. Tuncer, Carla, and Liudmila offered a practical framework for building tasks that meaningfully integrate digital tools, inclusive practices, and multilingual pedagogies, and it was the perfect way to send everyone off with ideas to try in their own teaching.

Thank You!
To every teacher, researcher, and student who joined us live, asked questions, shared experiences, or simply listened in: thank you. A series like this only works because of the people who show up for it, and you truly made it what it was.
The webinars may be over, but the LiTE Academy journey is just getting started. Stay tuned for what's coming next - including our online modules, upcoming forums, and plenty more opportunities to keep learning together.
